Fire Hydrant Emergency

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has declared a Fire Hydrant Emergency (FHE) and is dispatching crews throughout the City to shut open fire hydrants as quickly as possible, once reports are received.

During FHE, individual open hydrant service request status is not available as hydrants are repeatedly opened and shut.

Report a hydrant that is leaking, running, or running at full blast.

You can report a fire hydrant that is damaged, broken, cracked, leaning, knocked over, or missing.

Report a fire hydrant that is:

Damaged, broken, or cracked.

Leaning, knocked over, or missing.

You can report a fire hydrant valve box cover that is missing. The valve box is in the street near the hydrant.

Report a missing valve box cover.
