Fire Hydrant Emergency

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has declared a Fire Hydrant Emergency (FHE) and is dispatching crews throughout the City to shut open fire hydrants as quickly as possible, once reports are received.

During FHE, individual open hydrant service request status is not available as hydrants are repeatedly opened and shut.

You can report a fire hydrant that is damaged, broken, cracked, leaning, knocked over, or missing.
