Street Works Manual

The New York City Street Works Manual describes new policies for working on City streets. This online Manual was produced by the Department of Transporation, with the cooperation of the City's major utility companies.

All of the companies agreed to share information and consult with other parties before and while doing work on City streets.

The Manual presents procedures for:

Permit and approval process
Notification and coordination within industry and in the community
Street restoration requirements
