The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has a dedicated phone line for use by doctors, nurses, and other health care providers. The Provider Access Line is available for the following requests from health care professionals:

Report disease outbreaks
Report neonatal herpes following circumcision
Request H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine supply
Provide current information about medical regulations, protocol and alerts
Obtain patient forms, educational materials, toolkits, posters and other publications
Register volunteers for the Medical Reserve Corps

The Medical Reserve Corps is a program that assists the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene during emergencies.

Health professionals such as doctors and nurses may volunteer to address public health needs during emergencies such as smallpox outbreaks, a flu epidemic, or a hazardous materials spill.
