Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert

Access-A-Ride services continue to operate. However, if you are not traveling for essential business or essential personal business, please stay home and do not use paratransit services at this time.

For your safety and the drivers safety, to maximize social distancing, collection of fare payment for Access-A-Ride trips is temporarily suspended at this time for COVID-19 precautions.

Access-A-Ride provides transportation for people with disabilities whose disability prevents their use of accessible mass transit, public bus, or subway service for some or all trips. Access-A-Ride is operated by private carriers under contract to the City. 

The current fare for Paratransit/Access-A-Ride is $2.75.

You can get eligibility, fare, trip scheduling, and all other service information for Access-A-Ride. You can also request assistance with lost or found property, or make a complaint about Access-A-Ride.

Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) Access-A-Ride customers who are participating in the Fair Fares NYC program and identify themselves to Fair Fares NYC as an MTA Access-A-Ride customer can get 50% off their Paratransit trips starting July 15, 2020. 

If you are not participating in the Fair Fares NYC program and you are an Access-A-Ride customer, visit the Fair Fares NYC website to check your eligibility and apply.

Fair Fares NYC participants who are also Access-A-Ride customers must complete an intake form to get 50% off their Paratransit trips. Visit the Fair Fares NYC website to complete the intake form.

The discount fare on Access-A-Ride Paratransit trips is $1.35.  Access-A-Ride drivers only accept cash payment for Access-A-Ride trips.  You cannot use your Fair Fares NYC MetroCard for Access-A-Ride trips.
