  • DSNY Garages are not accepting tires for disposal until further notice.
  • Special Waste Sites are closed through June 2021.

The Department of Sanitation will accept up to four tires from passenger vehicles at its garages. Tires do not have to be removed from rims.

You can bring tires to a Sanitation garage for disposal at any time between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday through Saturday, except holidays.

You must present a valid New York State driver license and New York State Registration. Both the license and registration must have a New York City address.  No commercial vehicles are allowed.
