Homeless people who are living on the streets can go to a drop-in center to receive services such as:

Hot meals and clothing
Counseling and medical care
Showers and laundry facilities
Help finding a job or applying for benefits

There are drop-in centers in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island. There are no drop-in centers in Queens. The Brooklyn drop-in center is wheelchair accessible. All centers are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.

The Department of Homeless Services does not provide transportation services to these drop-in centers.
