The Department for the Aging, in partnership with Citymeals on Wheels, offers a Friendly Visiting Program specifically for seniors age 60 or older who have difficulty leaving their homes.

The program matches seniors with a screened and trained volunteer who will visit them at home on a regular basis.

The senior and the volunteer will have an opportunity to spend time sharing common interests, ideas, opinions, and experiences.

If you, or someone you know, would like to receive a friendly visitor, you can contact a Senior Community-Based Organization (CBO).  Senior CBOs help connect seniors with friendly visitors.

Use Site Finder to search for a Senior CBO. Contact them by phone. If you get the voicemail system, leave a message with your contact information and you'll get a call back.
