HOME Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (HOME TBRA) is a limited rental assistance program for low-income families living in homeless shelters or domestic violence shelters, as well as for chronically street homeless individuals.

HOME TBRA applications were accepted until September 3, 2015.

You can get additional information if you:

  • Already submitted a HOME TBRA application in 2015
  • Are a HOME TBRA tenant
  • Are a HOME TBRA landlord

A chronically street homeless individual is someone who has been identified by the Department of Homeless Services (DHS) as:

  • Currently living on the streets and having lived on the streets for 9 of the past 24 months; OR
  • Currently living in a DHS safe haven; OR
  • Using a DHS stabilization bed.
