The Department of Transportation (DOT) is expanding the Off-Hour Deliveries program which encourages businesses in congested areas of downtown Brooklyn, lower and Midtown Manhattan, and Jamaica, Queens to accept deliveries between 7 PM and 6 AM.

The program is intended to reduce traffic congestion in areas with high pedestrian volumes and limited curb space.

Carriers and receivers also benefit from:

  • Reduced transit time
  • Reduced fuel and delivery costs
  • Less parking challenges
  • More predictable delivery windows
