The Department of Small Business Services (SBS) has launched the New York City Business Express Service Team (NYC BEST). Through this initiative, small businesses can receive one-on-one expert support to navigate City government for free.
You will be connected to a single point person to help:
- Understand City rules and requirements
- Work with City agencies to get licenses and permits faster
- Prepare for inspections and fix any issues beforehand
- Understand violations you’ve received and help address them
NYC BEST is a collaboration between several key agencies including:
- Small Business Support (SBS)
- Department of Buildings (DOB)
- Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)
- Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH)
- New York City Fire Department (FDNY).
- NYC Department of Consumer & Worker Protection (DCWP)
- NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY)
- NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets
- NYS Department of Financial Services
- NYS Liquor Authority
